A healthy mind includes emotional, psychological and social well-being and affects how you think, feel and act. It works in unity with your body and influences how you handle stress, relate to others and make choices. According to a national survey, about 1 in 8 women experience mental health concerns after having children. Although not always easy, we do have the ability to choose our own thoughts and take charge of our minds. During your wellness journey we will be looking at unhealthy thought patterns that might have developed over the years and together establish new thought patterns that serve you better.

Physical health can be defined as the normal functioning of the body, representing one dimension of total well-being. It’s about how your body grows, feels and moves. How you care for it and what you put into it. We will dive into the transformative power of self-care — a practice that usually takes a backseat when becoming a mother. It’s time to prioritize your wellbeing, be kind to yourself, honour your body and make self-care an integral part of your life. The goal is to feel energized when you wake up in the morning, and maintain a good stable energy level all day. We’ll explore simple yet effective ways to incorporate healthy lifestyle habits into your daily routines, enabling you to live intentionally and nurture your whole self.

Spirit

As we look within and find our ‘reason for being’, our roots deepen and strengthen; we feel planted, affirmed and content. In the Japanese culture they describe this concept as your “ikigai”; it’s what brings you joy and inspires you to get out of bed in the morning. It can be gardening, friendship, faith, exercise, a corporate job.. anything. We were all made beautifully unique and I believe each of us has something to offer; a special task designed just for you. Let’s embrace that.. who are you? What makes you tick, gives you energy or makes you smile? During the wellness journey we will look at your personality / character profile and together discover afresh your reason for waking up with joy in your heart.
